Questions, answered
How much RAM does a Satisfactory server need?+
The official recommendation is 12 GB minimum, and 16 GB for large factory saves or 4+ players. Our 12 GB Factory plan is the recommended pick; the 8 GB Pioneer plan suits small early-game saves and sits below the official minimum.
What port does Satisfactory use?+
Modern Satisfactory dedicated servers use port 7777 (with the query/beacon consolidated onto it). On a managed Nxeon server that's opened for you automatically.
How do I claim and manage the server in-game?+
Once your server is provisioned, you add it in the game's Server Manager by IP, claim it, name it, and set the admin password — then create or upload your save. Full file access is available from the moment you order.
Can I upload my own save file?+
Yes. Full file access lets you upload an existing save directly instead of starting fresh, so you can move a megabase over without losing progress.
Why does RAM matter so much for Satisfactory?+
Satisfactory simulates every belt, machine, and item in your factory, so RAM use climbs as your save grows. Big megabases are the reason 16 GB is recommended — starting on the Factory or Megabase tier avoids slowdowns later.
